We are currently looking to add an Human Resources Intern to our team to be located in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a 14-month contract, with possibility of extension or permanent employment to follow.
Job Overview

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Intern will be responsible for providing a wide range of human resource administration activities including HRIS data maintenance, reporting, policy administration, time and attendance management, payroll support, and benefits and rewards program administration.

Key Job Responsibilities

Responsible for ongoing employee support related to payroll, benefits and pension programs;

Responsible for various administrative human resources functions such as; maintaining HRIS employee date, HR form maintenance, HR processes, door system, alarm system, tracking spreadsheets, etc.

Coordinates applicable employee policy payments through Finance/Payroll including PPE reimbursement, Health and Wellness reimbursement, employee referral program payments, education & tuition reimbursements, etc.

Maintains applicable records including employment files, disability, worker's compensation, benefits, pension, etc.;
Completes required HR reporting for monthly and year-end reporting;
Preparation and distribution of internal communications as it relates to benefits, pension, health and wellness, and payroll; and

Qualifications/Requirements
1-3 years of experience in similar position.
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.
Strong understanding of provincial and federal requirements and regulations.
Experience administering employee benefit and pension plans and reward plans considered an asset.
