OVERVIEW


The Redpath Sugar Brand Marketing Specialist reports directly to the Manager of Brand Development and preforms marketing support roles to meet the objectives of the department.

They must be a team player working with various functions including sales, customer service, legal, regulatory, operations, digital team, outside vendors and Agency of Record.


DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • GS1 / EECnet responsible to collect all the necessary data to up todate the information needed in GS1 for our customers. Also ensures that all relevant photography is available in the database and maintains updated information for GS1 changes.
  • Support BDM in the development of brand strategy & marketing plans
  • Support BDM on new product launch (communication development, sales materials, trade presentations, internal communication to employees across the organization)
  • Assist Brand Development Manager on communication development for all media, social and digital platforms new project brief development
  • Responsible of packaging redesign executions with support of the Brand Development Manager, working in collaboration with different departments (NPD, regulatory, legal, supply chain & purchasing)
  • Redpath Marketing dpt. will be transitioning to PO process, this position is responsible of creating purchase requisitions for all marketing efforts
  • In charge of recipe content development direction to the agency share results on a monthly basis
  • Ensures that all communication across all business units, including media and social channels supports brand identity and that is aligned with brand positioning & guidelines
  • Market intelligence understand the competition within the sugar and sweeteners categories and analyze AC Nielsen syndicated research to develop and recommend strategies.
  • Work with sales in updating and revamping product ecommerce presence and explore media and marketing initiatives available in Canada
  • Consolidate initiatives into brand calendars and communicate monthly
  • Work closely with BDM to oversee daytoday activities at the brand level
  • Responsible to upload, maintain, organize brands assets in Bynder digital platform

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

  • Passionate individual, relentless with building brands
  • Strategic and analytical
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Power Point, Excel & Words) and SAP
  • Bilingual (English /French) is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal & effective communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Experience with Social Media Platforms
  • Ability to work with multiple projects and priorities
  • A passion for food and baking would be an asset
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

WORK EXPERIENCE
years' experience in marketing for a consumer products company, preferable a food company


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Marketing, Business or Commerce with major in marketing

  • Experience in creative development
  • Experience in coordinating events preferred
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office, and SAP

  • Ability and ambition to learn quickly and meet deadlines
  • Driver's license an asset
