"JOB INFORMATION:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lay out the job, setup, adjust and operate floor mounted drills of the radial, single, or multispindle types;
- Perform a variety of drilling, reaming and tapping operations on various kinds of metals and fibres;
- Sharpening tools, buffing materials, grinding and cleaning as directed;
- Responsible for treating passengers and/or employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed (within the area of responsibility) in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a serviceprovider and an employer.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Requires training normally obtained through the completion of Grade 12 technical program or its equivalent as defined by the TTC's Operations Training Centre's assessment guidelines, including courses in machine shop practices or its equivalent through considerable mechanical or machine shop experience.
If you do not currently hold a designated position, you will be required to pass a drug test as part of the certification process.
The TTC's policy prohibits relatives of current TTC employees from being hired, assigned, transferred or promoted into positions, where there is a conflict of interest due to a relationship.
