Duties and Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Integration Team Project Manager (Architectural), and working with minimum supervision, the position provides technical support for the planning, development, upgrading and maintenance of campus facilities records using mainly Computer Aided Software (CAD), and other technology such as REVIT, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).

The incumbent provides ongoing support throughout all phases of the project delivery process.


Qualifications:


The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
The incumbent works in an environment in which multi-tasking is a standard operating procedure. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to set priorities are essential skills, as well as demonstrated resourcefulness, decision making ability, and flexibility and must have the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure

The incumbent must be able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and take initiative without supervision.

As the incumbent is privy to confidential and sensitive information in regards to contracting and procurement, the incumbent must exercise discretion at all times.


In addition, the incumbent must have:

  • Certification in CAD or BIM software trainings (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Bentley MicroStation).
  • Proven experience as a CAD/BIM Coordinator (CAD or BIM) or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with capital planning processes, including budgeting, project evaluation, and risk management.
  • Familiarity in basic space planning and building code regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Detailoriented and organized, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education and Experience:


The above is normally acquired through:

  • Completion of a two year Architectural Technician diploma from a recognized college or related field.
  • The incumbent must possess an additional one year certification in BIM software trainings (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Bentley MicroStation).
  • Five years of working in planning, design and construction, including experience with BIM facility management workflow.
