Duties and Responsibilities:


Reporting to the FITA Manager, the FITA Program Coordinator is responsible for psychometric test administration, program administration support, the organization and delivery of workshops, and the marketing of the student FITA (From Intention To Action) program.

The incumbent focuses on providing quality client care while professionally representing the FITA program.

The position provides administrative support to student staff and counselling interns, and provides administrative training of new staff and interns, administering and scoring psychometric tests, coordinating program advertisements, and delivers workshops on positive psychology.

In addition, the position will be responsible for coordinating information on the FITA website and providing excellent customer service.


Qualifications:


The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

  • Ability to provide knowledge and problem-solving skills in analyzing psychological testing needs of post-secondary students.
  • Strong Written/oral/interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Search Engines.
  • Experience with creating presentation tools (Web CMS, Adobe Suite, Canopy).
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic, organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge to conceptualize mental health in the context of higher education.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills and the ability to develop an understanding/unbiased rapport with students who are diverse, and may have varying beliefs with regard to mental health practices.

Education and Experience:


The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

  • University honour's degree in a relevant field (i.e. communications or psychology, etc.).
  • Minimum of three years in program administration support, mental health initiatives, and professional communication.
