The Opportunity:
The Employment Advisor reports to the Manager of Employment Services and works within the Student Job Centre.

The incumbent is the first point of contact for student employment inquiries, employer / community postings, workshop requests from faculty, resume and cover letter development.

The incumbent maintains a strong connection the Employment Solutions staff to support College students and grads with employment needs.


What you need to be successful:

  • Minimum 2-year diploma in business, human studies, human resources or related field
  • Minimum two years of experience in a postsecondary environment related to field of employment
  • Knowledge or experience of Indigenous culture is an asset
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, multitasking environment while serving students
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent computer skills (Office 365, various social media platforms)
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality


This is an Appendix D support staff vacancy, Payband D - $25.86-$29.96/hour (starting rate $25.86/hour), 35 hours/week, required for 6 months.
