Administrative Assistant - Works
Reporting to the Commissioner of Works, the incumbent will:

  • Prepare agendas for the Works Committee and other Committee meetings as required
  • Circulate reports for comments and sign off, and ensure all necessary department head and CAO signatures are obtained
  • Maintain and update the the list of outstanding items from Committee and Council and update the Agenda tracking system
  • Provide support to the Commissioner, Directors and departmental managers as required
  • Plan departmental events and arrange conference registrations, travel and accommodation arrangements for Management Staff and Members of the Works Committee
  • Support the coordination and completion of MFIPPA requests
  • Represent the department on corporate initiatives and coordinate special projects on behalf of the Directors
  • Review the status of the projects regularly to ensure the desired completion dates are met

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A grade 12 diploma
  • Several years of work related experience in public and/or private office environments
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, public relations, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated project management, prioritization and organizational skills

Proof of education, qualifications and any other job bona fide requirements will be required prior to start date.

$57,707.00-$73,384.00 per year
