St. Joseph's Health Centre is a Catholic community teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto that has served the communities of West Toronto and beyond for over a century. At St. Joseph's, our catchment area serves a multi-faceted community that ranges widely in needs. The experience you will gain on this team will be unique simply because of our location and diverse patient population.
Qualifications include:
Graduate of a recognized post-secondary secretarial/administration program (equivalent related experience may be considered)
Minimum one year recent related secretarial experience, preferably in a related environment.
Successful completion of a Medical Terminology course or related experience
Accurate keyboarding of 50 wpm and good proof reading skills.
Proficient in dicta-typing or willing to learn dictyping
Proficient in MS Word and Excel at an intermediate level.
Experience in Meditech and IDXrad preferred.
Excellent filing, records management and statistical skills.
Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written.
Excellent phone manner and customer service skills.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to organize workload in a busy environment.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task simultaneous
