DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to

Operate computercontrolled surface mount assembly machinery to successfully assemble surface mount technology printed circuit assemblies.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Ability to read machine error messages and correct placement & printing problems on a modern pick & placement line whilst adhering to product process times.
Be able to kit and dekit SMT placements machines and set up printing programs on automatic stencil printers.
Able to set up and operate the surface mount equipment, maintaining high quality standards on all activities undertaken.
Ensure full compliance with all applicable quality assurance standards and internal SOPs
Document all work completed on the SMT process via shopfloor MES system.
Provide support to other SMT Line operation and willing to fill in different SMT positions as required
Communicate and cooperate with inspectors regarding part change or placement defects reduction strategies
Troubleshoot equipment in an effective and efficient manner as per work instructions to reduce equipment down time
Support 5S+1 initiative within the team

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum secondary school graduate or equivalent
Previous experience in electronic manufacturing is required
Knowledge / background in IPC
A 610 standards. IPC certification is an asset
Strong team player while able to function independently and with mínimal supervision
A selfstarter with good organizational skills and analytical skills.
Knowledge of SMT Equipment is preferred.
Organized and detail oriented
Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Good communication skills in both written and oral English
Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to work flexible hours including daily and weekly overtime
Colour identification is a requirement of this role

Working Environment Conditions

Physical Demands

The incumbent must be fit and possess sufficient strength to safely maneuver around archived materials up to 25lbs without injury to themselves or others

Mental Demands

The position involves an above average degree of attention and mínimal mental stress in an environment where interruptions may be ongoing.

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally clean; however, the incumbent may be exposed to occasional dust. The incumbent is required to wear safety clothing and gears while working in safety sensitive areas. Otherwise, office/business casual attire is appropriate
