About Alain Joyal:

Alain has recently worked on contracts as a senior management consultant in different fields and as a Vice President in a telecommunications firm in China, overseeing the South East Asian market and the company's branding. In that role, his key responsibilities were to drive and maintain business and communicate the firm's core competencies and industry thought leadership to stakeholders. 

Most recently, he taught grades 1 to 12 in a public school board (East Ontario) and a college in Montreal in the management faculty, all entrepreneurship and project management courses. 

Alain is a Canadian who has lived in China for 6 years. He has extensive experience in management consulting in different sectors such as operation, IT, sales, business development, and marketing in retail, supply chain management, hospitality, and tourism. He worked in collaboration with the Canada China Business Council (CCBC), the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC), the Canadian Chambers of Commerce across China, Hong Kong, Dubai, Vietnam, the Canadian Embassy in Beijing and the Canadian Consulates across China and Hong Kong.

  • Implemented an inventory Turn Over forecasting system thus reducing the inventory to balance and meet sales forecasts at the regional scale including the Flagship store (revenue over $100 million a year) in British Columbia.

  • Oversaw successful projects in different countries such as a feasibility research project in Mexico.

  • Purchased, owned and operated an underperforming restaurant and increased gross revenue from $60k to $220k.
