Alex Pavlin

My name is Alexander Pavlin and I am an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, studying Economics, Cinema, and Ukrainian.

Former Human Resources team member with experience in managing and coaching team members, website development, and employee incentives. Strong verbal and written communication skills proven through team collaboration. Driven self-starter and multitasker.

I have been the Vice-President of Sales for Charmed and a Human Resources Member for UndertheToque, two student-led companies part of the Junior Achievement Central Ontario Company Program. I gained comprehensive understanding of the business world, including capital raising, employee management, developing sales pitches, and solving business challenges, such as supply-chain issues.

Furthermore, I am a Film & Television Background Performer, having been on-set for numerous productions. I have interacted professionally with cast and crew members by following their directions and communicated with talent agencies by responding to emails and arriving to set on scheduled time.

I am majoring in Economics, and minoring in Cinema Studies and Ukrainian Language Studies. Multidisciplinary study has broadened my skillset. For example, I have developed my written and verbal communication skills by adapting to the appropriate communication style for a given subject. For example, I have had to utilize my verbal Ukrainian language skills for my oral examinations and my textual analysis skills for written papers and essays.
