Business Development Manager – Kee Safety North America 2020 – Sept 2021
After strong performance and growth in the role of General Manager, earned a promotion to spearhead the rapid and successful launch of new products in the US and Canadian markets. Rolled out and drove progress of the business development plan for North America as a central resource for the field sales team.
- Business Development: Strategize and directly participate in the process to grow market share for Kee Safety’s new products and services, with success in creating traction and driving growth in a highly competitive market.
- Product Development & Go-to-Market Strategy: Partner with the company’s product developers to ensure new products are aligned with the needs of the market, followed by field-level launch of products including technologies, training and services.

I held an all-encompassing leadership role over the strategic, operational and financial performance of Kee Safety’s operations in Canada, I grew beyond previous success in sales to hold complete P&L responsibility for the business. I balanced oversight of Kee Safety operations in Toronto with the role of GM over the newly acquired entity High Engineering based in Calgary.
- Strategic Leadership: I led the team, processes, and culture for the Canadian operation, while maintaining a continuous focus on opportunities to improve performance and profitability.
- Business Acquisition: I was highly involved in the acquisition of Calgary based High Engineering. I partnered with senior management in the UK to complete the due diligence necessary to acquire and integrate the company, secure its engineering intellect and rebuild its operating model. Transformed the new acquisition from consistent losses to $250K in profit within year 1.
- Business Acumen: I demonstrated a high level of proficiency in all aspects of business operation, including sales, leadership, P&L management, financial decision making, human resources, long-term strategy, performance management and other priorities.
