Anahita Khooban

I have a master’s degree in biomechanics from the Amirkabir University of Technology, and currently studying for my second master’s in Mechanical Engineering at Concordia University.

I worked as a mechanical designer for a startup team in Iran. My experience as a mechanical designer in the Pishro start-up helped to expand my expertise in designing and fabricating various biomedical devices, such as syringe pumps and ultrasonic cleaners, using SolidWorks. I also had to go through lots of readings on the development of organ-on-a-chip models and micro-electromechanical systems. Research aside, I further had a great opportunity to work closely with a team of interdisciplinary expertise and was able to establish a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration within myself.
