Andrew Tan

Hello! I'm Andrew Tan. I'm a recent graduate of Criminology & Justice from Ontario Tech University. I am pursuing a career in law enforcement. I'm eager to start my police career within our diverse community in the City of Toronto. I aim to be the strongest additional candidate for the Toronto Police Service. 

Toronto Chinatown BIA Summer Student (Social Research Assistant) 

• Planned and executed outreach and communications to build awareness among businesses, property owners, and the local community.
• Support, communicate, liaise with, and work with Board members, the Executive Committee, Community Members, Chinatown BIA Staff, and Volunteers.
• Coordinate, administrate, and execute assigned community projects and events.
• Recruit and supervise contractors and/or volunteers to ensure the Toronto Chinatown Festival 2024 operates successfully.

Toronto Police Service Youth In Policing Initiative (YIPI) (Student)

• Management skills include being more organized, time-efficient, professional, punctual, responsible, responsive, and team leader.
• Used the skills to work with the Community Response Unit and the Auxiliary Unit at community events.
• Engaged with the Jays Care Foundation to cooperate with children, volunteers, and staff members to spend time together and have fun in activities.
