About Anika Kina Kudaka:

I'm a Level II Honours Life Sciences Student at McMaster University and I'm pursuing a Minor in Business. My areas of expertise include the use of biology laboratory technologies such as ImageJ, PyMOL, Zen Software, microscopy, cell staining and embedding, and cell passaging.

Along with my ever-growing interest in the field of Life Sciences, specifically Biology, I have a passion for Marketing and Communications which I use to tell stories with the McMaster Student Success Centre's Stories' Team.

I enjoy exploring new ideas, creating and telling stories, and making science communication more accessible to non-science audiences. Currently, I'm seeking volunteering positions for summer 2023 that will allow me to combine these two passions.

Communications Assistant at McMaster University Student Success Centre (Mac SSC) (May 2022 - Present)

  • Successfully marketed second-year academic success program through the use of TikTok resulting in a 100% turnout rate
  • Reported on over 4 events hosted by the Mac SSC to boost engagement and morale among student body, including academic sessions and conferences
  • Collaborated with team members to create engaging story-telling content to inspire those within the McMaster community
