About Bashar Ibrahim:

I am an educator, specialised in social justice, gender equity education, and philological studies. Also, I am a legal officer, specialized in refugee law, and human rights. I have excellent international experience working in different projects and programmes. I have excellent experience in community management, project implementation, and operational response to groups of concern, as well as in community-based education and empowerment policies. In addition, I have very good experience in monitoring, assessment, and evaluation.

For two decades, I have conducted a large number of research studies, papers, and articles on different subjects. From March 2020 to June 2023, for example, I worked at Canada Safe Haven Immigration as a case manager, where I gained an excellent experience in information management, research, and analysis. I have excellent experience in critical analysis and analytical skills. Moreover, I have excellent experience demonstrating the ability to serve as an internal resource and consultant.

I have excellent experience in programme coordination, project assistance, community management, and operational response to groups of concern. At I’m Human Organisation, for 2 years, I was the main supervisor for the implementation of programmes and projects for refugees and migrants. Specifically, I worked on the inclusion and integration of refugees in Serbia through language classes, accommodation, and access to programmes and resources, in coordination with partners in Sweden, Spain, Germany, and Italy. Also, I have excellent experience in the inclusion and integration projects of marginalised populations through advocacy, empowerment, and awareness-raising. Precisely, I was a member of the Minority Inclusion Committee, part of the Inter-religious Committee for Inclusion in Serbia, which targeted the Roma minority. The programme was implemented by seeking scholarships and funds for the Roma students.

For four years (December 1999 to September 2003), I worked at European Tobacco as a market researcher, doing lots of travelling to research different markets and investment opportunities. I built excellent experience drafting hundreds of business reports and studies. In Serbia, I was in charge of writing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the mother company in Greece. The reports were on sales, stocks, and marketing activities (statistics), as well as the different brands availability. Besides, I prepared and wrote reports on the country’s business policies, plans, laws, and regulations, in addition to the social and political situations in the country. Moreover, I was in charge of communication and coordination with the mother company and the partners and agents in the Balkan countries.

In addition to studying education, I studied linguistics, intercultural relations, and political communication. Honestly, I am really talented at communicating and coordinating with different people, stakeholders, and partners. A couple of Syrian refugees wrote books in which I am the humanitarian hero due to my excellent interpersonal and communicative skills.
