Cheryl Hynes

I am a hardworking, loyal, dedicated, reliable worker. I learn quickly and efficiently, always wanting to learn more and try new things. I have had a variety of experiences and gained a variety of skills throughout my life. I enjoy working with people and am quite capable of working alone. I have always been interested in working camp jobs and I am finally at a place in my life where I can do so without responsibilities at home. I have worked in management roles, physical roles, clerical roles, administrative roles and of course care giving roles. I adapt easily and would be very excited to join your team!

For the past 7 years I have been managing a unionized group of men and woman in a fast paced environment. In this job, I create scheduling, do payroll, ensure smooth operations of the business, deal with emergencies, work several other bases when needed, adjust my schedule as needed, and maintain great relationships with the stakeholders and employees. I also work closely with CATSA and upper management to ensure things are completed in a timely manner. I have also taken on a second job (I like to keep busy) as a care aide assisting a man who is a quadriplegic. I have to physically transfer him from wheelchair to bed, bed to wheelchair daily as well as complete his care and housework. Prior to this, I worked for a company as a contract administrator, writing contracts for millions of dollars with contractors. I have excellent references and have always left jobs with good relationships with bosses and co-workers.

I graduated from Confederation College in 1993 from the Developmental Service Worker Program. I also completed an online course and received a certificate for a Legal Assistant but have never worked in this field. I have completed several management courses at my current employer, through their e-learning program.
