Elaheh Ekhveh

My name is Eli and I am a motivated Master student in Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering that graduated in Dec 2022. I have proven skills in projects with concepts of mapping, web mapping, GIS, photogrammetry, 3D visualization, and geospatial database. Sharing a strong ability in the use of ESRI GIS software (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online) and Remote Sensing technologies that integrated well with computer programming skills (Python, SQL) to perform geospatial analysis. I am skilled in problem-solving, analytical, and design thinking styles. I am a fast learner, goal-oriented, and trustworthy engineer.

On a personal level, I am progressive-minded and in tune with new developments in my field. I gained experience of being collaborative with team members by working as a co-op student that was mainly focusing on providing earth’s observation data for users. My role has been focusing on storing time series, spatial data with PostgreSQL/PostGIS database with the development team, and also using the 3D geospatial capability of Cesium with power of Unreal Engine for 3D visualization of LiDAR data products on real world for Geo-Intelligence team. Throughout my studies as a geomatics engineer, I gained much knowledge of spatial and data management tools with raster and vector operations using GIS software. I am aware that in the age of big data, we face large sets of recorded sensor data, so I can be effective in managing them by the process of storing, maintaining and retrieving data as I have good knowledge in SQL handling both spatial and non-spatial data.

I have a Master’s degree in Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering from University of New Brunswick. My background in geomatics engineering and also computer programming skills make me highly suited for this job.
