About Emanuele Dell'Olivastro:
As a Civil Engineer graduating from the University of Toronto with a minor in Engineering Business, I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience to the field of construction. With two years of experience in construction site supervision in the municipal field, gained through my past internships, I have developed a solid foundation in the practical aspects of construction management.
My studies have focused on the areas of Construction Management and Building Science, with a keen interest in developing sustainable and innovative solutions for the construction industry. Through coursework, research, and hands-on experience, I have honed my skills in project management, safety management, building design, and material selection.
As a driven and detail-oriented individual, I am passionate about ensuring that all construction projects meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality. I have a strong track record of working collaboratively with teams of engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives and overcome challenges.
Experience
As a Junior Site Supervisor at TACC Construction Ltd. from May 2021 to August 2022, I was responsible for managing the installation of sewers and water-main lines for four subdivision development projects with 500+ house units. I performed quantity takeoffs, ordered and managed materials on site, and identified opportunities for design improvement and material recycling, resulting in a 30% reduction in material costs.
In addition to material management, I also assisted in supervising a labor force of 20+ employees and coordinated heavy equipment and machinery. I maintained strong professional relationships with consulting engineers and municipal inspectors, ensuring that all work adhered to design standards and specifications while addressing and solving project-related issues or concerns. I also identified opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency while monitoring project progress.
Through my role as Junior Site Supervisor, I was able to strengthen my skills in project management, team leadership, and communication. I am proud to have been a part of successful projects and to have contributed to the growth and success of the company.
Education
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Engineering Business from the University of Toronto. I have maintained a 3.50 GPA, which has placed me on the Dean's Honour List, and I am expected to graduate in April 2023.
