Emily Schirrer

I currently work as a Sales Manager for a medical company based in the US. The aspects I enjoy most about this position are the opportunities to develop customer relations, to build rapport with our clientele to completely understand their needs and then work to find the most optimal solutions for them. I enjoy the follow-up communication and all that this implies.

i have traveled and lived and worked in the UK, France and Canada. I have gone back to studies several times and am consistently drawn to psychology. This has been a passion for many years and I am currently investigating the possibility of completing a degree in psychology while working.

i am very interested in human behaviours, cognitive study, how we work. I myself have followed therapies and I read works written by various doctors of psychology with tremendous interest.

i have studied some first year psychology courses including child development and criminology. To be honest, all aspects of behaviour interests me hugely.

I have three teenagers who have had to adapt to many situations, changing schools, culture and language of study. I am passionate about health and well-being. I am very active and very keen to promote healthy minds and healthy attitudes to diet, exercise and mental health.

I am a listener, I am kind and approachable and love people . Nothing makes me more happy than to help people to help themselves. To give them the strength and power to believe in themselves and their abilities.

Working in the psychology field is a dream of mine and I intend to make it a reality.

I have been working in sales for the last 5 years, and have also worked as a PT and nutritional advisor. These roles require an ability to put people at ease, to build relationships and understand needs and constraints. They require empathy and an ability to listen and make people feel heard.

Concerning behavioural psychology - I studied year 2 courses in France including Differential psychology and clinical psychology. In Canada I studied developmental psychology, Physiology, Statistics, Psychometrics, Criminal Psychology and other courses.
