I currently run my own home design company, however I’m looking to fill my days with an administrative role to help develop new skills.

My role in architecture firms has provided me with the necessary skills and tools to help ensure an office runs smoothly and efficiently, all while honing my customer service abilities and various Human Resources roles and responsibilities.  You will see by my attached resume that I have experience with not only the reception side of office management, but also the business building and effective team management roles required to maintain a successful and smoothly operated company.  As a self-employed contract worker, I also have mastered time management skills and finding the most efficient paths to completing a project while keeping profits and team management at the forefront of focus as well.  Customer satisfaction is paramount in all of my previous roles, and will continue to be.

-19 years in Home design industry serving individual clients and builders with exceptional customer service skills and knowledge, requiring extensive research and organization skills

-10 years managing a team of 4-11 workers, ranging in experience level from trainee out of school to fellow senior level designers, including hiring, firing, and disciplinary meetings

-created and instructed lunch and learns and training sessions for fellow staff, using feedback from all team members

-8 years experience running and managing design office, main point of contact to all new clients, supervising multiple projects spread across multiple team members, representing the firm at various marketing events such as trade shows and sponsorship events, provided Human Resources services to staff, including conflict mediation where required, minor invoicing responsibilities using Quickbooks, as well as generic reception duties

-operate own design company, involving all aspects of contract procurement , customer service skills, office management, and invoicing responsibilities
