About Jia-Pey Wang:
With a robust background and extensive experience in cellular immunology and stem cell biology, I have played a pivotal role in supporting innovative mesenchymal stem cell (MSCs) treatment on sepsis shock and enhancing the understanding of CRISPR/Cas genome editing. My collaboration with the ICU team at Ottawa General Hospital on clinical trials involved managing sample inventory, processing blood samples for biomarker analysis, and banking donor-derived MSCs while establishing potency assays. This comprehensive experience has provided me with a profound understanding of the clinical applications of cellular immunotherapy and underscored the critical importance of quality control in cell-based therapies.
In a fast-paced environment, I effectively arrange and handle a significant quantity of samples by developing standard operating procedures, standardized labels, and tubes, which boosts my efficiency and allows team members to easily find and identify materials. I have led projects for animal studies and gene editing platforms, designed assays for cell products and gene editing outcomes, and demonstrated the ability to be a cooperative team player, supporting project progress and study plans. As a motivated professional eager to learn and enhance work efficiency and data quality, I have introduced new workflows and technology for Western blotting within the teams.
