Josh Byers

My name is Josh Byers and I am seeking an exciting career. I have been a substitute teacher but I am now seeking a position in the business sector. My teaching degree has helped me achieve the skillset to help others and seek changes that may be required to best suit specific situations. I would like to join a business that is current and incorporates people of all ages. I strive for excellence and working as a collaborative team. I enjoy sports and have been involved in both playing and coaching. 

I been a substitute teacher for the last 3 years for Southeast Cornerstone School Division. I have worked in numerous schools with various staff and have enjoyed getting to know new people and their school environments. In the role of a substitute teacher I must be able to adapt to the situations in various schools and work with all types of people. I must seek solutions to problems in fast paced classrooms and address the needs of all students. This position has given me a wide variety of skills that I feel would benefit me in the business sector. I have also worked in the summer months in the oilfield. I worked for RAM Operating in the maintaining of oilfield leases. I worked alone and was required to bring leases to a standard in visual and physical aspects. 

I graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Education in 2021. I have also begun my Business Certificate from SaskPolytech. I am entering into my second term which is done online, allowing me to still work. This course gives me education in various areas of a business including accounting, marketing and communications.
