Lesley-Anne Longo

Hi there! I’m Lesley-Anne Longo. I’ve been a lover of words (and a voracious reader) my entire life, and it was a natural step for me to develop that love into a career as an editor.  

After graduating from York University in 2012 with an Honours Double Major in Professional Writing & Communications Studies, I opted to continue to further my editing knowledge through Centennial College’s Book & Magazine Publishing program, from which I graduated with High Honours.

I’ve worked in many areas of the publishing industry over my 9 years as an editor, including working with a variety of trade titles, from Young Adult fiction to sports history, at esteemed Canadian indie publisher ECW Press. I also have experience working with a variety of nonfiction projects, including scholarly journal articles, business reports and documents, self-published memoirs, creative nonfiction, and company handbooks.  I’ve worked on a number of titles in the romance genre as well through my work as a freelance proofreader with Harlequin. I feel lucky to have the opportunities to work on such varied and diverse titles!
