Experience
I am currently employed with Niagara Region, serving as the Manager of Seniors Support Services. In this position, I lead a team that oversees the operations of the Region's 8 long-term care homes. Although I enjoy this role, I am looking to explore a career outside of long-term care, where I can make an impact on the broader population. I have gained valuable skills and knowledge, which I will bring into my next role. These include:
- Experience in implementing policy and program changes to support strategic plans and operational goals
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Capacity to inspire others, through challenging situations, to achieve positive outcomes and focus on solutions rather than problems
- Experience using data to drive business decisions and to evaluate programs/policies
- Proficiency in fostering relationships with others, which includes community organizations, government officials and the public
