I have worked as a Research Assistant in Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, South Korea. Below are my roles and responsibilities:
Prepared standards and reagents, monitored supplies, and maintained adequate inventory levels.

• Operated and maintained instruments including HPLC-UV, LC-MS, LC-MSMS, GC-MS, and FPLC.
• Ensured high accuracy in sample preparation and analysis for secondary metabolite analysis from callus samples.
• Participated in the development and validation of new procedures and instruments.
• Successfully coordinated and managed laboratory projects and experiments.

- Extracted plant and bacterial DNA, RNA, PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning, transformation, gel electrophoresis etc.

- Successfully expressed and purified antioxidant proteins (AtAPx1, AtAPx2, OsAPx2, Prx, and Trx) for analysis via FPLC, enzyme activity assays, electron microscopy, and fluorescence microscopy.

- Conducted gene expression analysis of APX genes using qPCR.

• Utilized HRP-conjugated antibiotin antibodies for the detection of target proteins.

- Studied the effect of post-translational modifications like Tyrosine nitration and S-nitrosylation on heat and salt stress tolerance in Arabidopsis and rice.

- Identified S-nitrosylated proteins in Arabidopsis after Gamma radiation.

• Detected S-nitrosylated proteins using iodoTMT labeling.
• Performed statistical (SPSS, R) qualitative, and quantitative analysis.
• Mentored 3 graduate interns over a six-month period, providing instruction in molecular biology techniques and protein expression methodologies developing team management and leadership skills.
• Learnt to play meticulous attention to detail while preparing reports and compiling data of different projects
• Published 5 research papers in prestigious journals
