Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary diploma from a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant program (e.g. combination OTA/PTA Program) required.
  • Current BLS certification required or within 3 months of hire.
  • Knowledge/experience with neurologically impaired patients, medicine patients, wheelchairs & mobility aids preferred.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of the English Language both verbal and written.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to provide support to multidisciplinary team.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize duties, and work well independently.
  • Must be able to provide patient care in both group and individual settings.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of bending, transferring, assisting and supporting patients.
  • Satisfactory attendance record.
