- Thoroughly inspect vehicles and equipment to detect malfunctions and damages, then perform necessary repairs or replacements using appropriate tools.
- Order spare parts and ensure timely procurement.
- Diagnose problems, recommend part changes or other essential services, maintain accurate maintenance records, and prepare cost estimates.
- Ensure all company vehicles and equipment pass safety inspections and meet provincial standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer and employee interactions.
- Able to identify malfunctions and proficient in using repair tools, equipment, and testing machinery.
- Familiarity with current repair and maintenance practices, as well as electronic, electrical, and hydraulic systems in vehicles.
- Ability to follow instructions, references, and technical manuals effectively.
- Experience with snow removal equipment and various machinery would be advantageous. Requires heavy lifting and outdoor work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Must hold a 310T Certification and possess a valid Driver's License.
- Outdoor and indoor shop environments.
