Job description:

We are looking for dynamic consultants to grow our
Life Science Team in
Toronto. Your experience, knowledge, and commitment will help us to face our client's challenges.

You will be supporting different projects through your expertise as a
Pharmaceutical - Bioinformatics Scientist.

Your main responsibilities:


  • Provide handson bioinformatics data analyses and troubleshooting of bioinformatics pipelines
  • Implement innovative algorithms for mínimal residual disease and cancer early detection
  • Collaborate with wetlab scientists and bioinformaticians to develop new assay methodologies
  • Work with external collaborators of Roche and provide bioinformatics support for them
  • Present and communicate team activities/project results across multiple functions in the organization

Qualifications:


  • 4 to 6 years of experience
  • Documented experience with sequencing/genomic data analysis (NGS), especially in the area of highthroughput sequence analysis
  • Proficient in general bioinformatics tools including tools for sequence alignment, variant analysis, and database queries
  • Proficient in Python and R
  • Proficient working in a Linux HPC environment
  • Handson experience in workflow management system (e.g. Nextflow, Snakemake)
  • Working understanding of biological concepts and experimental methods commonly used in molecular biology and interest to learn more
  • Excellent communication, advanced English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills; Responsible and reliable, goal and task oriented
