Production Planning Coordinator***
Code:MMOC / 23271**
Salary:The main task of this position is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work, information, and materials within the production environment for jet engine overhaul and repair.

Typical duties include sequencing, prioritizing, and monitoring production activities, as well as the creation of reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Other duties include management of production ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle, MS Access) systems, organizing and chairing production meetings, coordinating the completion of corrective actions and other improvement initiatives. Other duties include project work as assigned.


Your Tasks:


  • Plan, coordinate, and direct production activities across multiple departments
  • Monitor production progress and initiate recovery plans when required
  • Prepare and communicate production progress and status reports
  • Ensure production targets are understood and achieved
  • Develop and maintain production key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders
  • Identify workstop or onhold situations and consult with the responsible managers to determine recovery plans and completion dates
  • Consult with departments to determine material delivery dates and identify the need for alternate solutions
  • Optimize the utilization of internal resources (staffing and machines)
  • Escalate concerns to Management and provide options and/or solutions
  • Participate in work flow improvement projects across departments (Six Sigma, Lean Management, and Continuous Improvement)
  • Be able to coach and train peers and employees about company processes and objectives
  • Act as deputy in the absence of the Manager Production Planning and Control

  • High energy with solid planning skills
  • Ability to establish work priorities and perform while under tight deadlines
  • Experience with database ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, MS Access)
  • Bachelor degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, or Data Analytics or a diploma in a related field of study with 5+ years of experience in production or manufacturing environments
  • Experience in Aviation Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) industry or Aviation Manufacturing an asset
  • Experience in Project Management, Six Sigma or LEAN Management
  • Expert with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Visual Basic and SharePoint
