Who we are looking for?

  • Minimum five years' experience in facilities management with direct management of maintenance, mechanical projects and subcontracted services
  • Holds or pursuing an accredited Commercial Real Estate designation (RPA, CPM, FMA, FMP)
  • Valid 5th or new 4th Class Power Engineering certificate an asset
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of computerized accounting systems (MRI experience an asset), and working knowledge of CMMS and BMCS
  • Extensive knowledge of budgeting, administrative and accounting processes
  • Comprehensive understanding of building operations and building systems
  • Strong leadership and supervisory/management skills, including the ability to lead a team of staff to achieve standards and accomplish objectives
  • Valid Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract

What you will do?

  • Oversee all aspects of facility operations, liaising with tenants/clients, ensuring contractor standards are met, and identifying any improvements/maintenance that may be required
  • Provide technical support with BMCS, CMMS, and other building management systems
  • Provide bottom line accountability for contracts' operational results including Key Performance Indicator (KPI) components
  • Oversee contract budgets and control expenditures in accordance with budget figures
  • Manage and supervise a team of employees
  • Oversee the Preventive Maintenance Program
  • Conduct onsite safety inspections and audits as required for buildings and projects and ensure that employees and subcontractors are adhering to safety practices
  • Portray a favourable image of the organization as the frontline contact with clients/tenants and subcontractors
