    As an Early Childhood Assistant (ECA), you will be responsible for working collaboratively with childcare staff and the Supervisor at various centres located in Ottawa, Ontario .

    Your primary focus will be on creating a nurturing environment for children to learn and grow, ensuring their safety, and supporting staff and classroom as needed, while strictly adhering to established policies, procedures, and quality standards.

    We offer on-the-job training and professional development opportunities.
    Three months of a public transit or gas card if you work 10 shifts or more per month.
    Cultivate a nurturing learning environment for children to learn and grow.
    Ensure the safety of children during onsite and offsite through direct supervision, attendance, and other protocols.
    Prepare meals/snacks and nap time in compliance with the centre policies and Public Health guidelines.
    Support staff and participate in activities as a play partner with children.
    Comply diligently with all the centre and Sentient HR policies.

    To be successful in this position, you must have 6+ months of experience working with children in a licensed childcare centre.

    Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and building a sense of belonging.
    Ability to manage children with challenging behaviours and communicate effectively.
    A completed Medical Form completed (will be sent to you as part of the onboarding process).
