Toronto Business College is a private career college that has partnered with an Ontario community college to offer programs to international students in the GTA.

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and evolve a formal QA process, ensuring that the team is using industryaccepted best practices for delivering quality education, support, and documentation;
  • Prepare college for regular program and campuswide audits, working across teams and departments;
  • Oversee all aspects of Quality Assurance including assisting Academic Department with administrative and courserelated requirements;
  • Ensure that QA policies, as described by the college, are meticulously and efficiently followed;
  • Strive to automate the QA compliance process to the greatest degree possible;
  • Collaborate with team in various departments to continuously improve QA standards and implementation, from administrative policies to instructor guidelines;
  • Ensure that all college departments are providing prompt and accurate service to students and stakeholders;
  • Orientate and train new faculty on college policies, academic integrity and expectations for inclass and hybrid delivery of curriculum;
  • Regular review of course portfolios, completion of Student Perception of Learning surveys, faculty performance reviews, LMS content, etc.
  • Constantly strive to improve student satisfaction and the quality of the learning and campus experience;
  • Lead with the understanding that some overtime, evenings and weekends may be required to ensure our students receive an outstanding education.
  • Create an organizational culture that understands the challenges and barriers to success that international students face and manages a team that demonstrates on a daily basis empathy, positive reinforcement, cultural understanding and a commitment to student success;
  • Facilitate adherence to and implementation of quality assurance plan, in partnership with the academic team and other college departments;
  • Advise and coach staff regularly contributing to QA processes offering training and regular meetings;
  • Monitor and, as needed, review academic integrity processes and implementation;
  • Foster an environment of customer service and student success as a top priority;
  • Encourage dialogue and smooth communication between and within departments with the view of enhancing QA efficiency and policy compliance;
  • Identify and remedy challenges at the operational level of the college;
  • Prioritize and action any initiatives and efforts that ensure student health and safety both on and off campus;
  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability and proactivity to learn new processes, help team members, care for students;
  • Attention to detail; ability to follow through with commitments and meet multiple deadlines;

Requirements:


  • 35 years of experience in a postsecondary institution, preferably at a managerial level;
  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field;
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance tools, practices and success measures. Direct QA experience in the Ontario college system an asset;
  • Ability to work both independently as well as in team settings within a fastpaced, multifaceted environment;
  • Knowledge of common education practices and government regulations an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Be able to set priorities, strategic goals and achieve them within the agreed upon timeline;
  • Understanding of international student needs and issues;
  • A valid driver's license and Canadian passport;
  • Police Record Check and Vulnerable Record Check;
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills;
