- Supervise the transition of new products from prototype to production, including pilot runs and ramping up production.
- Facilitate the exchange of knowledge between product development and manufacturing partners, ensuring seamless transfer of design, testing documents, and assembly instructions.
- Ensure readiness of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for production, addressing any issues promptly.
- Oversee the setup and management of internal manufacturing capabilities, where expertise in SMT lines and inventory control will be crucial.
- Lead NPI projects from ideation to production, ensuring timely delivery within budget and meeting quality benchmarks.
- Act as the primary liaison between the product development team and manufacturing partners, fostering clear and effective communication channels.
- Implement quality control protocols to uphold product specifications and performance standards.
- Collaborate with design and quality teams to identify and resolve any quality hiccups during the NPI phase.
- Collaborate with the supply chain unit to ensure timely availability of materials, components, and suppliers meeting required criteria and timelines.
- Manage the procurement of prototype quantities of development designs, liaising with rapid prototyping facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, product development, project management, or a similar hardware industry role.
- Demonstrated success in steering NPI projects from concept to production.
- Robust technical expertise in hardware product development, manufacturing processes, and quality control principles.
- Proven project management capabilities covering timeline adherence, resource management, and risk evaluation.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools and hardware certifications is advantageous.
