- Oversee the transition of new products from prototype to production, including pilot runs and production rampup.
- Facilitate the transfer of knowledge between the product development team and our manufacturing partners, including design and testing documentation, and assembly instructions.
- Ensure that manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment are ready for production and that any issues are addressed promptly.
- Oversee the set up and organization of internal manufacturing capabilities, experience with SMT lines and inventory management will be key assets to executing in this area.
- Lead and manage NPI projects from concept through to production, ensuring ontime delivery, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the product development team and our manufacturing partners, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure that products meet specifications and performance standards.
- Collaborate with the design and quality teams to identify and resolve any quality issues that arise during the NPI process.
- Work with the supply chain team to ensure that materials, components, and suppliers are in place and meet the required specifications and timelines.
- Coordinate the procurement of prototype quantities of development designs, acting as the interface to rapid prototyping facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, product development, project management, or a related role in the hardware industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing NPI projects from concept to production.
- Strong technical knowledge of hardware product development, manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
- Proven ability to manage projects, including timeline management, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Critical thinking and problemsolving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools and hardware product certifications is considered an asset.

We are seeking a talented individual to fill our New Product Introduction (NPI) Manager role, who will be responsible for managing the transition of Solace's new hardware products from the development phase to full-scale production.
