- Manufacturing:
- Supervise the progression of new products from prototype to production, overseeing pilot runs and the scaling up of production.
- Facilitate the seamless transfer of knowledge between the product development team and manufacturing partners, ensuring all necessary documentation and instructions are shared.
- Ensure readiness of manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment for production, swiftly resolving any issues that may arise.
- Lead the setup and management of internal manufacturing capabilities, leveraging expertise in SMT lines and inventory control for effective execution.
- Project Management and Collaboration:
- Take charge of NPI projects from inception to production, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints and meeting quality benchmarks.
- Act as the primary liaison between the product development team and manufacturing partners, fostering clear and efficient communication channels.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement stringent quality control protocols to guarantee products adhere to specifications and performance standards.
- Collaborate closely with design and quality teams to identify and address any quality issues during the NPI process.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to secure timely availability of materials, components, and suppliers meeting required criteria.
- Manage procurement of prototype quantities of developmental designs, serving as the interface to rapid prototyping facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, product development, project management, or a relevant position in the hardware industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing NPI projects from concept to production.
- Solid technical acumen in hardware product development, manufacturing processes, and quality control principles.
- Proven aptitude in project management, encompassing timeline adherence, resource allocation, and risk evaluation.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, adept at thriving in a team setting.
- Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools and hardware product certifications considered advantageous.
