    Job Title: Supervisor in Support Services Department at Sinai Health

    Company: Sinai Health

    Sinai Health, a renowned academic health science center, is seeking a Supervisor to join their Support Services team at the Sinai Health Campus. As part of this role, the successful candidate will oversee daily operations within the department, including Housekeeping, Laundry & Linen, Mail Room, and Stores.

    Responsibilities:

    • Leadership
      • Builds relationships with stakeholders to meet operational needs
      • Demonstrates and promotes company culture, mission, vision, and values
      • Assesses operations for service enhancement
      • Establishes goals aligned with patient care excellence
      • Emphasizes effective communication and teamwork
    • Human Resources Management
      • Manages staff recruitment, performance, and development
      • Directs supervision and training plans
      • Promotes positive employee relations
      • Manages conflict resolution and development strategies
    • Financial
      • Attainment of financial goals and budget adherence
      • Analyses financial data and develops improvement strategies
      • Coordinates action plans for financial results
    • Program Quality and Standards
      • Applies continuous quality improvement principles
      • Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
      • Develops workload measurement tools
      • Recommends improved policies and procedures
      • Manages infection control and quality management processes
    • Health and Safety
      • Creates a culture of safety and quality
      • Participates in health and safety programs
      • Ensures equipment and safety practices are followed
      • Investigates and resolves health and safety concerns

    Job Requirements:

    • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field
    • Minimum of five years' operations experience at a management level
    • Experience managing unionized employees
    • Proficiency in MS Office and financial analysis
    • Change management and LEAN methodology experience
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
