    Skilled Laborer

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Skilled Laborer, specializing in mechanical and wall insulation services within shipbuilding projects. You will engage in critical insulation work for various ships, including Joint Support Ship combat vessels and Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessels. Your main responsibilities will involve applying, removing, and repairing various types of insulation on industrial equipment, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, selecting and securing insulation materials, and installing vapor barriers and finish insulated surfaces.

    Requirements

    • Ability to apply, remove, and repair various types of insulation
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
    • Skilled in measuring, cutting, and fitting insulation materials
    • Experience with installing vapor barriers and finishing surfaces

    Work Site

    This is a fully on-site position in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

    Work Environment

    Work location is at the shipyards in North Vancouver, where parking is available but limited. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, starting at 5:45 AM and ending at 4:00 PM, which includes 10-hour days with 2 hours of overtime.
