Working as part of a collaborative team, the Intermediate IT Operations Lead is responsible for providing daily technical support, maintenance for hardware and software, and helping ensure the IT operations function properly.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Configure workstations, laptops, and servers according to specifications;
- Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues;
- Support desktop level support, including installing and upgrading software & hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems;
- Monitor ticketing system (Fresh Service) to ensure timely resolution of tech issues;
- Document tasks and chances to technical environments;
- Follow existing check lists to ensure consistent results for routine and common tasks;
- Proactively access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases to aid in tech support problem;
- Assist IT Managers and Regional Team members with tech support and remote assistance;
- Act as the backup to the local IT Manager when required;
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, or equivalent;
- 25 years experience in a similar IT role;
- Experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues;
- Experience using asset inventory and software deployment tools;
- Strong competency in the usage of MS Windows computers and servers, Active Directory, Azure, Teams and Exchange Online;
- Able to support a variety of mobile devices;
- Demonstrated knowledge of IDS/IPS tools;
- LAN, WAN, VPN, routing and switching experience;
- Effective verbal and written communication skills;
- Flexible, reliable and works well in a team environment; and
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
