    We are seeking a permanent, full-time experienced Collections Clerk for our Halifax office. This position will report to the Controller and provides support for the office's accounting team.

    We are seeking a permanent, full-time experienced Collections Clerk for our Halifax office. This position will report to the Controller and provides support for the office's accounting team.
    Maintain open lines of communication with clients and provide regular updates on account status;
    Update account records, payment statuses, and collection efforts to ensure accuracy and transparency;
    Monitor and manage accounts, payment terms, overdue accounts, and payment plans.
    Assist in establishing effective collection strategies and policies;
    Keep the Accounts Receivable Coordinator informed regarding collections issues and provide collections forecasts;
    Escalate accounts to Eastern Collections while maintaining a record of clients sent.
    Participate in cross-training to provide back up for other team members as operationally required;
    Proven success working in an accounting and collections environment;
    General knowledge/understanding of full cycle accounting is considered an asset;
    Previous experience at a professional services firm is considered an asset;
    Accurate and efficient data entry and keyboarding skills;
    Strong competency in the usage of MS Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Standard;
    Flexible, reliable and works well in a team environment;
