About The Role
The Implementations Specialist is responsible for executing projects for our clients.

This role reports to the Senior Project Manager, who will assign deployments and deliverables to the Implementations Specialist as needed.

Job responsibilities

• Build, setup, and manage servers as standalone Windows servers, as Hyper-V hosts, or as VMWare hosts
• Experience with Nutanix is an asset
• Implement storage solutions such as NAS and SAN, hyperconverged
• Design and implement computer networks in small to mediumsized businesses
• Deploy and manage networking devices such as firewalls, switches (layer 2, layer 3), routers including VLANs, subnetting (HP, Cisco, WatchGuard, Fortinet)
• Data migrations from onpremise to onpremise file servers and from onpremise file servers to Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint online
• Capable of setting up and managing Hybrid environments
• Capable of automating third party software using GPO and other utilities such as PDQ deploy, PowerShell
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS
• Google is an asset
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
• WiFi analysis and implementation
• Setup of local and cloud backup solutions using Veeam and Datto
• Apply, implement, and adhere to security solutions

Qualifications

• 25 years of experience working in IT
• 25 years of experience setting up, deploying, and managing server and network infrastructures
• 25 years of experience working on high pressure projects
• Microsoft MCSE, VMWare VCSA certifications are an asset
• Bilingual (English/French)
• Able to lift 20 lbs
• Has a car and can travel onsite to clients as needed (mileage is reimbursed)
• Schedule flexibility; some projects require scheduling after hours and weekend work
• Effective time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team
• A passion for learning and technology
• Travel within Canada/US may be requested very rare
