- Ph.D. (or near completion) in Environmental Humanities or a related field in the humanities, social sciences or environmental studies;
- Expertise and skills in engaged pedagogies and experiential learning, e.g., internships and reflective practice;
- Demonstrated leadership and experience working on environmental issues, e.g., the climate crisis, ecological ethics, sustainable development goals or First Peoples' ecological traditions;
- Ability to work with diverse communities, e.g., university colleagues, students, and community partners;
- Academic publications and an active research plan in Environmental Humanities or a related field;
- Bilingualism (comprehension/written/oral): must be able to offer courses in English and in French upon hire.
- Teaching at graduate level programs and potentially undergraduate programs;
- Developing a research program in Environmental Humanities;
- Administration and community service (ex. meetings of Faculty Council and various committees at the School, Faculty and University levels);
- Managing internship programs in Leadership, Ecology and Equity.
- Experience in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses;
- Experience in development of academic programs would be an asset;
- Experience with leading internship programs would be an asset.
- Salary and promotion based on experience and the collective agreement.
- Rank will be determined based on experience, the collective agreement and the policies in effect.
