    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    • Highly technical and analytical background with significant experience in software engineering (preferably five-plus years in cybersecurity)
    • 5-7+ years of Software Development experience
    • 5-7+ years of Security Engineering experience focusing on Vulnerability Management and Secure Coding
    • Preference for candidates with experience in C# (Python and Java are acceptable, but C# is mainly used)

    The Product Security team is accountable for ensuring the code-level security of the products. We strengthen product security by identifying, addressing, and preventing security vulnerabilities across our product range. In the Product Security Assurance teams, we create tools and implement programs to eliminate security flaws in code. Thus, we seek an Application Security Architect with robust technical and leadership skills, a background in product/application security, and a dedication to resolving intricate product security issues in a dynamic agile setting. The ideal candidate should be adept at collaborating across departments and thrive on discovering innovative ways to reduce risk while safeguarding the data of over five million product users.


    • Implement Cloud Platform and Application Security Blueprint and promote the adoption of standardized methodologies, libraries, and tools
    • Own identification and remediation of vulnerabilities within Platform and SaaS applications codebase, and 3rd party dependencies, concentrating on advancing Application Security Engineering beyond OWASP Top Ten
    • Establish secure coding practices and guidelines, perform security reviews, and reduce security-related technical debts
    • Conduct penetration testing using a variety of tools, both open-source and commercial
    • Create scripts and tools to streamline common security tasks, enabling DevSecOps
    • Engage development teams in security feature assessments and threat modeling
    • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deploy and automate security controls and processes for cloud-native security monitoring, tools, and reporting
    • Promote a security-first culture by collaborating with development teams and platform engineers to balance performance and security
    • Lead ongoing product and application security evaluations
    • Perform application security testing utilizing SAST, DAST, IAST, and RASP tools
    • Document security discoveries, propose remedial actions, and oversee implementation
    • Focus on automation to enhance efficiencies in both testing and resolving identified issues
    • Work with developers and product managers for continual security validation
    • Recommend controls for addressing security gaps and monitor them through implementation and validation
    • Participate in product meetings to address security requirements for new and existing products
    • Act as the primary management contact for product cybersecurity requirements, initiatives, and escalations
    • Evaluate the existing product ecosystem, suggest security-oriented modifications to security leadership and engineering
    • Utilize security standards, implementation configurations, and prevalent security frameworks
    • Maintain software bills of materials for all products
    • Attend internal and external training sessions focused on product security principles
    • Actively engage in security team meetings to aid in secure product design
    • Demonstrate a broad understanding of product security compliance, privacy laws, and regulatory obligations
    • Concentrate on optimizing security processes, prioritizing advanced tasks to match product demands
    • Collaborate with team members and align with security, audit, and risk management leadership

    What would truly set you apart: Possession of security certifications like CISSP, GSEC, Azure Architect, and/or Azure Security Engineer/Technologies is a plus. Background in automated program analysis, familiarity with NET and C#, DevOps experience encompassing infrastructure, cloud, and application pipelines, knowledge of Kali Linux and commercial penetration testing tools, expertise in Azure security services and Docker/Kubernetes, experience in container security with Docker and Kubernetes, capability to design tool and exploit prototypes, conduct vulnerability and penetration tests, proficiency in various programming languages such as .NET, Java, Rust, Golang, Python, C++, Ruby, etc., familiarity with security requirements for APIs.
