Your Role

Advise business leaders and provide sound legal counsel on a variety of legal, compliance and commercial issues.
Draft, review, revise and negotiate terms and conditions on a broad range of commercial documents and contracts/agreements (e.g. sale, service, supply, purchase, distribution, lease, warranty, indemnification), ensuring that the writings appropriately address business and legal needs.
Work cooperatively and establish strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and operating unit leaders.
Manage the activities of outside counsel, ensuring the delivery of quality service at a cost that is reasonable and appropriate.

To succeed, you will need

Admitted to practice & a member in good standing with the Canadian law society
210 years of progressive experience in a recognized law firm or corporate law department
Membership in the Québec bar is an asset
Experience in multiple Canadian jurisdictions highly preferred
Proficiency in English and French (spoken & written) is required.
Ability to work fully remote and comfortable with technology; occasion onsite meetings/trainings
Experience in US law is an asset
Be ethically results goal oriented
Interact cooperatively, timely and effectively with all levels of the organization
Manage a diverse grouping of cases and projects
