Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and managing the workflow of the production floor by organizing and assigning the responsibilities of employees.


Responsibilities include:


  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
  • Diagnose and repair injection moulding machines as required.
  • Extensive handson knowledge of injection moulding processing.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.
  • Oversees employees by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Check production output according to specifications.
  • Identify issues in efficiency and implement improvements.
  • Problem solving of manufacturing and tooling related problems.
  • Perform any other duties maybe assigned by the Plant Manager as and when needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:


  • High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of automotive industry core tools such as control plans, etc.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, etc. an asset.
  • Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
  • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
  • Strong skills in MS Office
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Selfmotivated with a resultsdriven approach
  • Problemsolving skills
  • Prior experience in a unionized, manufacturing or injection moulding environment would be an asset.
