    Description



    Ness is in search of a Senior DevOps/Automation Engineer who will play a crucial role in expanding an on-premises failover environment and integrating all significant Renaissance applications in clearing, settlement, and risk domains. The client must exhibit the capability to operate all clearing and risk systems internally and transition all production functions through On-Prem within the specified SLA, as mandated by regulators. The new clearing and risk systems capitalize on the scalability, ease of provisioning, and cost efficiency provided by cloud services (AWS), ensuring a disaster recovery strategy through Multi-Region cloud offerings.


    Responsibilities:
    • Establish CI/CD pipeline for application deployment as a DevOps engineer
    • Automate DevOps tool certificate management using Python
    • Collaborate within the DevOps team to develop shared infrastructure services for on-premises failover setup: Kubernetes, Vault, S3, Kafka, Databases
    • Create connectivity between new failover shared services and existing ones by coordinating with various teams: Secret, identity, LDA, DNS, Artifactory, Jenkins, Splunk services
    • Automate deployment of DR strategy and data replication between Cloud and failover environment for all applications
    • Enhance processes and the DevOps team by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for improvement
    • Propose innovative solutions to technical challenges, write code, test, debug, and document the solutions, utilizing agile software development principles
    • Develop well-designed programs, scripts, and tools to provision, configure, and monitor new shared infrastructure services for on-premises failover environment

    Key Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with certificate generation tools like Venefi
    • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy, YAML, Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
    • Proficiency in Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub, and Artifactory

    Must-Haves:
    • Extensive expertise in automating certificate management using Python
    • Proven track record in setting up CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, Vault, and others
    • Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, and other DevOps tools
    • Specialization in Cloud Infrastructure Modernization, virtualization, data center setup, DR & BC Strategies, and DevOps
    • Hands-on experience with K8 and S3/Cloudian for shared infrastructure
    • Experience with on-premises data center operations and AWS-hosted data center management
    • Proficiency in migrating tools and continuous deployment frameworks such as Terraform Enterprise and Ansible
    • Expertise in writing testable scripts and managing helm charts for Kubernetes deployment
    • Skilled in monitoring tools like Splunk, LogicMonitor, and Prometheus
    • Worked on projects involving microservices deployment and hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure
    • Intermediate proficiency in Maven/Gradle, Java, and distributed message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.

    • Familiarity with setting up CI/CD pipelines for Flink-based applications
