As a Manager, PMO, you will assume management responsibility of all aspects of Project Management Office and overseeing the planning, execution, and closing of all projects within the portfolio.
You will manage the PMO team and provide leadership, guidance, and support to program managers, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
You will assume a support role for IT managers on matters related to the projects delivery. You will participate in and contribute to IT management team initiatives, and assist senior IT management with implementation of IT strategy to meet business goals while balancing day-to-day demandsHERE'S HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the PMO processes and procedures.
- Manage the PMO team and provide leadership, guidance, and support to program managers, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project management standards, tools, and templates, ensuring they align with industry best practices.
- Monitor and report on project progress, providing insights and recommendations to project managers and other stakeholders.
- Identify, analyze, and manage risks and issues across portfolio, projects, and escalate to senior management when necessary.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure projects are not only just delivered on time, within scope, and within budget but effectively manage risks to business value
- Facilitate the development of project plans, budgets, and timelines, and ensure adherence to them throughout the project lifecycle along with business value delivery.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to project managers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver successful projects.
- Manage project participants and relationships ensuring project teams are cohesive and operating to common objectives and priorities.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional certifications PMP, PgMP, ACP, etc. will be preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project, program, or portfolio management, with at least 3 years in a PMO management role
- Handson experience in project/portfolio resource planning, reporting, and budgeting
- Understands the organization's policy framework, management structures, and reporting procedures for all aspects of project and program management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver business value.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization and Onshore/Offshore Teams.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall, and experience implementing them in a PMO setting.
- Excellent knowledge of Software Development, DevOps, and Infrastructure deployment processes
- Familiarity with project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server, Jira, Trello, or Planview.
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations based on insights.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to influence without authority through negotiation, interpersonal skills and motivational skills.
