***The Culinary Staff help to ensure that Cedars kitchen operates in a manner that is consistent with the goals and objectives of the treatment program. Cooks are responsible for creating and delivering healthy and delicious meals to patients and staff. This person will be highly engaged in the patient experience of Cedars and will utilize a patient centered, collaborative approach to care at Cedars.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Working in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager, cooks are responsible for prepping, preparing, cooking and serving meals for the patient populations.
  • Ensuring that health and safety requirements are met in alignment with food safe and health authority guidelines.
  • Participate in daily sanitation measures, dishwashing, and equipment cleaning
  • Receive and process daily orders, provide production sheets and record meal counts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a fast paced high volume kitchen (1 year preferred)
  • Valid Food Safe Certification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with the various departments involved in the patient treatment process
  • Ability to collaborate and problem solve with other team members including counseling, medical, administrative, and support staff
  • A commitment to creating a positive environment conducive to healing for both patients and staff
