    WSP Canada is looking for a Lead Digital Communications Specialist to join its Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the Director, Communications, this person is an expert in user-centered digital content. They will be responsible for developing engaging strategies for Canadian employees and deploying them on our internal platforms - including a modern intranet that was rolled out in and on selected external platforms. They will work closely with the Global Communications and Digital Experience teams, as well as with their colleagues in Canadian Marketing team.

    The successful candidate will be assigned to the Montreal office.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and implement innovative digital communication strategies to be deployed on all distribution platforms and that reach over 12,400 employees in Canada.
    • Write, collect, and optimize content to engage with communities on the various internal platforms and ensure their growth.
    • Develop and continuously improve the intranet platform in Canada (Canopy) by producing or directing the creation of content.
    • Support the deployment of an in-house content contributor system that encourages the adoption of best practices among editors.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the various platforms and generate analysis reports.
    • Identify market opportunities, issues, and trends, and make appropriate recommendations to improve the employee experience on digital platforms.
    • Manage projects to develop and optimize in-house digital tools based on digital communication best practices.
    • Support members of the Communications team in implementing digital communications and promoting activities.
    • Coordinate work with various stakeholders (when required), including the Global Digital Experience team, teams in other regions and IT teams.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Eight (8) years of professional experience in digital communications, with a proven track record within major Canadian organizations.
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of usability, user experience and information architecture concepts, including proficiency in Web technologies.
    • University degree in communications or another discipline with experience working in communications; graduate management training would be an asset.
    • Excellent command of English and French (spoken and written).
    • Experience in implementing digital communication strategies in a fast-changing environment.
    • Customer-focused, solution-oriented, agile approach.
    • Experience working collaboratively with key players within the company and ability to influence senior executives.
    • Exceptional writing skills that demonstrate an ability to create content that effectively reaches the desired audience.
