    Director Writing Sedgwick Internal Creative Agency

    PRIMARY PURPOSE : Leads a team of writers in Sedgwick's internal creative agency in the creation of marketing and sales support assets; directs Sedgwick's brand guidelines and writing style; and partners across Sedgwick to develop accurate, impactful content.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

    Directs a team of internal creative agency writers in creation of marketing and sales support assets.

    Coaches the writing team on new ways to work together given an ever-evolving working model.

    Upskills the writing team to ensure the highest quality of creative development; ensures the team stays up to date on latest industry practices.

    Leads the rollout of new brand guidelines and Sedgwick's evolved writing style.

    Implements content strategy, aligning it with Sedgwick's vision and product strategy, and creates and manages a content calendar that continually serves new information to our market.

    Uses data insights to assist in the crafting of strategy and creative briefs and develop ideas with teams.

    Creates high-performing marketing assets, such as brochures, videos, social media posts, and presentations, that accelerate all parts of the sales funnel for our products and services.

    Partners with marketing leadership to develop strategic marketing campaigns to generate leads for our sales team, increase brand awareness, and position Sedgwick as a thought-leader in our industry.

    Collaborates with our internal thought leaders to transfer their knowledge into content marketing pieces.

    Works across teams to identify and solve problems and ensure accurate, up-to-date, and thorough content.

    Manages a variety of diverse marketing projects, ensuring forward progression on quality work under tight deadlines.

    ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.

    Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education & Licensing

    Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.

    Experience

    Ten (10) years of related experience, to include copywriting, content marketing, and team leadership, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

    Skills & Knowledge

    Strong understanding of market positioning, brand definition, product launch, brand preference or business growth marketing

    Adept at writing key messages, messaging maps and other directional documents for consistent voice and appropriate tone across audiences, industries, and regions

    Excels in the creative process: ideation, workflows, workloads, and resources

    Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

    PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

    Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and interpretative skills

    Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports

    Ability to work in a team environment

    Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
